The Area Commander, Ota Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)) Shola Oladele has decorated twenty one (21) newly promoted officers serving within the Area Command, with their new ranks. The officers were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).

They had a mock orderly room trial where officers and men of the area command were taken through different stages of orderly room trial in the Nigeria Police Force and a health talk before promoted officers received their new rank badges amidst applause from colleagues, family, and guests at the Ota Area Command.

In her remarks, ACP Shola Oladele congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions, describing them as rewards for their dedication, hard work and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Emphasizing the need for discipline, respect for human rights and community-oriented policing, ACP Oladele charged the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as a call to greater responsibility, renewed commitment and sustained efforts towards ensuring the safety and security of lives and property.

ACP Shola Oladele also commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun for his unwavering commitment to motivate officers through timely promotions. She noted that such gestures serve as morale boosters and ultimately enhance quality police service delivery.
