The Kwara Bridge collapse led to Several motorists and other road users between Ilorin the Kwara State State capital and Oyo State are currently stranded following the collapse of the Moro bridge in the Asa local government area of the state
Our correspondent who visited the route reports that hundreds of stranded users of the road and bridge are calling on the federal government for quick intervention.
Moro bridge serves as an intro and inter-state link between Kwara and Oyo States, the road however remained abandoned and is presently in a bad state.
The users of the road and bridge are calling on the federal and state governments to fast track measures to quickly address the infrastructure gap to make the facilities available for use again by motorists.
Efforts to get the Kwara state commissioner for works, Rotimi Iliasu to speak on the plight of users of the road and bridge proved abortive as he did not respond to his calls and text messages as at the time of filing the report
