BENUE : TRADITIONAL RULER VOWS TO ARREST CULPRIT BEHIND FIRE IN OBJ FARM.

Over Ninety hectares of high breed mango farm belonging to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, at Howe, in Gwer East Local government area of Benue state have been burnt by person(s) suspected to be from neighbouring communities last week.
Manager of the farm, Zubelu Mohammed, who told newsmen at the farm, during inspection described the incident as unfortunate.

…According the Farm Manager the damage would have been averted if not that the fire incident took place at about 2pm in the afternoon as the incident is a second attempt by the elements.

The traditional ruler in the community, the Ter Gwer, HRH Dominic Akpe, and the council chairman. Emmanuel Ortserga, both vow to identify and apprehend those who set fire on Obasanjo farm.
The one hundred and Nine hectares of land is said to be owned by the state government was leased to former President Obasanjo and that the issue of compensation was that of the state government.
