The People’s Democratic Party on Thursday formally declared Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as it’s Vice Presidential candidate.
Making the announcement at the National Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party in Abuja, Former Vice President and Presidential Flagbearer of the Party said the Governor’s name was part of the top 3 summited to him for consideration.
It was confirmed after the Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar announced to party members confirming Governor Okowa as his running mate for the 2023 Presidency.
Okowa in his acceptance speech thanked the party for the nomination while commending the party of an hitch free Process restating his commitment to serve
Notably absent of all the People’s Democratic Party was Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike of all the PDP Governors Present at the declaration.
Recall that the National Working Committee of the PDP earlier approved the nomination of some Party members to serve on the Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee for the screening and verification of the nominated Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2023 general elections.
