The Department of State Services, DSS, has been accused of holding the Biafra agitator in a “torture room” by a family member of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
One of the agitator’s brothers, Kanunta Kanu, claimed that despite court orders, Kanu had not been released.
He was responding to the Federal High Court’s decision to send Kanu back to Kenya, which was made in Umuahia.
According to the court, Kanu’s extraordinary rendition violated his fundamental rights.
It commanded that the state in which the IPOB leader was before to his detention in Kenya and extraordinary rendition last year be restored.

Recall that last year, Kanu was detained in Kenya and returned to Nigeria.
The IPOB leader was allegedly subjected to extraordinary rendition last year, according to the Nigerian government.
When Kanu got back to Nigeria, the Department of State Services, or DSS, imprisoned him and fought over his legal rights.
In order to achieve this, Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, filed a lawsuit against the Nigerian government.
All seven of Ejimakor’s requests were granted by the court on Wednesday.
Kanunta responded by tweeting: “Some people are under the impression that #MaziNnamdiKanu has been released from jail. The correct response is NO, he is still in the DSS “torture chamber.”
