The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) says through​ the recent verification exercise it embarked upon , it has created a centralized database, complete with over 226,000 pensioners’ personal information and career documents.​
The Executive secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate ,Dr. Chioma Ejikeme stated this while featuring on the weekly briefing organized by the presidential communication team in the Aso rock villa.
The PTAD Executive secretary hinted that the​ Innovative Benefits Computation Software has helped to ensure that only pensionable components,approved Salary structures and the pensioners service years are used in the calculation.
The Executive secretary further hinted​ that between January 2015 to December, 2021,the directorate has paid a total of N 610 billion in monthly pensions.
Also a total of over N39 billion has been extended in the payment of the arrears to the defunct privatized agencies .
Meanwhile,the PTAD has launched the pilot phase of its​ “I AM ALIVE “​ confirmation solution.
This platform is designed to enable verified federal government pensioners to confirm their livelihood from the comfort of their homes or neighborhood with a smartphone without the stress of travelling for periodic field verification.
