The Nigeria Immigration Service received multiple awards from the aviation industry’s highest performance rating body in terms quality service delivery.
Speaking at the event which took place at the NIGAV centre in Lagos, the organizer of the annual event, Fortune Idu, said that the criteria for the honours were for timeliness, prompt response and improvements to aid ease of business, migration, international travel, effective management of air traffic and attraction of foreign investments to the country. These standards are gotten from public polls and reactions.
In response, the comptroller of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Adeola Adesokan was honoured to receive the awards on behalf of the Comptroller General Of the service, Isa Jere. She said that the NIS is at the forefront of provision of excellent service to air travellers as the gateway into the country. The face of the NIS has greatly improved to the general public and in partnerships with other security agencies in the country and international border agencies.
She thanked the organizer and promised that the NIS would continue in being excellent at carrying out their duties with their well trained officers and men.
