The non indigenes of Lagos, under the umbrella of their association met recently to have a parley with stakeholders and leaders in the state on their rights and privileges in the state.
Speaking at the well attended event that had political leaders, traditional heads and members of both the indigenous and non indigenous peoples of Lagos state, the president of the association Barrister Destiny Takon spoke on the need for tolerance,inclusion and good relations for all and sundry.
He stressed that this would enhance the State’s development economically, socially and culturally. He appealed that for the forth coming general elections, there should be freedom for non indigenes to vote for parties and candidates of their choice without having any consequence of tribal profiling on them by those who think by threats, they can forcibly put wrong choices on them.
