The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has unveiled a new technology based platform, EDUSTAT ( Educational Statistics) for the easement of access to quality data, in the educational sector.
Speaking at the event, the head of national office, ( WAEC, NIGERIA) Patrick Areghan said EDUSTAT is aimed at delivering top notch service to educational institutions, parents, funding agencies, government institutions, school administrators and students.
This platform is also meant to help the council with revenue generation, make the brand more viable and improve economic growth through education.
The features of the platform include a rich data base of 50 million candidates over the years, interactive and user friendly web report, dashboard, graphs and summaries that can be customized by users to tailor them for their specific needs
As the world gets smarter, people have to keep up with new developments that can be stalled by economic uncertainties, shifting and political landscapes. EDUSTAT is committed to improving educational and moral excellence that can be impaired by inconsistency in incorrect data and poor infrastructure.
