The Lamidi Apapa Faction of the Labour Party Has called for the Arrest of Peter Obi the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party and any other person moving and clamouring to stop the transition process and the inauguration of President Elect, Bola Tinubu on May 29 2023.
National Publicity Secretary of the Apapa Faction, Abayomi Arabambi disclosed this to journalists in Abuja, after the FCT High Court re-affirmed Lamidi Apapa as acting chairman.
Arabambi also stated that if the Party’s legal team at the election petition Tribunal in Abuja fail to meet Lamidi Apapa and brief him on the legal proceedings within 48 hours, they would appoint new lawyers to take over labour party case at the tribunal.
Arabambi said that the party’s presidential candidate was acting beyond his capacity in the party with the connivance of the Julius Abure faction. Abure he said, is using criminal means to impose himself and others on the party and despite summons from the police, has refused to honour them.
Summarily, Arabambi has stated that the Lamidi Apapa faction of the party has no interest in the stoppage of the inauguration of the President-elect on May 29, 2023 and has absolved itself from the Obi/Abure coalition at the Federal High Court.
