tingo afan 6 juneThe All Farmers Association Of Nigeria (AFAN), has broadened its’ concerns, by promoting the interests of her members, through a lease and service agreement with Tingo Mobile Limited, a mobile and Fintech service provider. This is aimed at its’members having access to top quality mobile and financial services. This resolution was made on 14th December, 2022 as part of tech inclusion and modernisation of their association and profer ideas for business solutions.
The association reported that an estimated number of 11 million of her members, have adopted Tingo’s mobile and Fintech applications including the Nwassa platform, which is a common hub for members to have seamless access to developments within the association, monitor current prices and interactions amongst members for daily operations.
In further strengthening and making the relationship between AFAN and TINGO more symbiotic, some members of the association, have started making their organic produce available to TINGO Foods Plc, an affiliate of TINGO Mobile, for processing, thus building stronger ties with the TINGO Group.
According to Dr. Farouk Rabiu Mudi, the national president of the All Farmers Association Of Nigeria, giving reason for this great stride and partnership, he said “We are encouraged by the progress we have seen through our partnership with Tingo Mobile. The use of digital technology among our members is growing, and some of our farmers have started to engage with Tingo Foods Plc. We remain hopeful for more growth and improved utilisation of the products and services offered by Tingo and its’ group of companies.”
The partnership therefore seals the zeal for AFAN to revolutionize their association towards modernization of its’ agricultural practices and also steer her members towards adaptation of modern technology with the necessary tools in a rapidly evolving digital space and world.
