The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kwara State Command has arrested a suspected notorious major supplier of psychotropic substances in the State, Nwakwo Chidiebere Innocent and three other suspects with over 18 kilograms of cannabis sativa and other dangerous substances.
The Commander of NDLEA in the State, Muhammed Ibrahim disclosed this at the State Command while briefing Journalists on the efforts of the agency at drugs supply reduction in the last one week.
Addressing Journalists on the seizures and arrest of the suspects, the Kwara State Commander of NDLEA, Muhammed Ibrahim noted that the major supplier of Psychotropic substances in the state, Nwakwo Chidiebere Innocent who has been disguising under several names to commit drugs related crimes had been arrested last year before committing this recent crime by sending his illegal consignment from Lagos to Kwara State.
Ibrahim also commended the NURTW operators in the State for their cooperation in exposing the evil.
The agency however vows to continue its statewide surveillance to cut down the demand and supply of illegal drug substances specifically at the entry and exit points of the State.
