Aare Afe Babalola, founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, has received the “Outstanding Achiever of All Time” award from the Ekiti-Kete Coalition in the United States.

This recognition honors his significant contributions to education, healthcare, law, agriculture, and humanitarian efforts.

Joe Olugbamila, President of the Ekiti-Kete Coalition, praised Babalola as a unique individual whose impact across multiple sectors deserves recognition, respect, and admiration.

Olugbamila urged the Ekiti State House of Assembly to organize public hearings and enact policies celebrating individuals who have made substantial contributions to society.

Babalola, in his response, thanked the delegation for recognizing his efforts and encouraged well-meaning individuals to contribute to the nation’s progress. He emphasized the importance of Nigerians loving and celebrating one another to help the country fulfill its potential.

Regarding rising fuel prices, Babalola called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to end its monopoly and allow Dangote Refinery to sell fuel at a lower rate, benefiting Nigerians. He argued that Dangote’s refinery should be allowed to sell directly to the public, reducing prices.
