The 11th Annual TM News Summit and Awards 2024 recently took place in Lagos, bringing together distinguished individuals and representatives of organizations committed to societal transformation. In his remarks, Comrade Temidayo Babalola, Publisher and Executive Producer of TM News, described the 11th edition of the awards as a celebration of excellence and service. He noted that the recognition of outstanding individuals and organizations underscores their efforts in improving lives and making a positive impact. He said that the awards were not just a celebration of achievement; but was a call to inspire others through the remarkable stories of the awardees. He further stated that these narratives can create hope and optimism in the society. Comrade Babalola further expressed optimism that the summit and awards would soon become a globally recognized event.
One of the notable awardees, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, emphasized the relevance of the summit in addressing pressing issues of national security. He highlighted the need for youth-centered initiatives and urged young people to embrace innovative thinking, shun criminal activities, and explore opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, media, telecommunications, and social media. According to him, the involvement of youths in governance and solution-oriented programs is pivotal to the nation’s progress.
Other awardees also expressed their gratitude for the recognition and pledged to intensify their humanitarian efforts. They encouraged the youth to remain focused, diligent, and proactive in pursuing meaningful ventures that contribute to personal growth and national development.
