In a resounding affirmation of integrity, influence and enduring public trust, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Anambra State Chapter, has nominated the Spokesman of the Anambra State Police Command, Ikenga Tochukwu, for its highly coveted 2026 Lifetime Reputation Management Award, one of the Institute’s highest honours in professional and public life.
The nomination, announced by the NIPR Anambra leadership, follows a rigorous multi-level evaluation process that assessed the nominee’s public service record, leadership footprint, ethical standing and sustained contributions to societal advancement.
According to the Institute, Ikenga Tochukwu’s unwavering commitment to credibility, integrity and positive influence clearly distinguished him as a benchmark of reputation excellence and public confidence.
Founded in 1963 and granted statutory status in 1990 under Cap N114, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN) 2004, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations is the apex regulatory body for public relations practice in the country.
For over six decades, the Institute has championed ethical standards, professional discipline, strategic communication and reputation management across Nigeria’s public and private sectors. As such, awards conferred by the NIPR are widely regarded as national recognition of excellence, character and legacy.
The formal award decoration will take place during the 2026 NIPR Anambra State Chapter Annual General Meeting (AGM), themed “Managing Reputation Capital in the Digital Age: Influence, Integrity and Impact.”
The event is scheduled to hold on Friday, March 13, 2026, by 10:00am (with awardees expected to be seated by 9:45am) at Hollywood Event Place, Awka, along the Onitsha–Enugu Expressway.
Ikenga Tochukwu has been warmly invited to attend the ceremony with an entourage, as stakeholders, colleagues and well-wishers gather to celebrate a career defined by enduring reputation capital and invaluable contributions to the public good.
The Institute also disclosed that goodwill congratulatory messages have been opened, providing an opportunity for family members, friends, organisations and admirers to formally celebrate the landmark achievement.
In a congratulatory note jointly signed by Dr. Nelson Omerugha, MNIPR, Chairman of the AGM/Summit Committee, and Chinenye M. Anyakora, ANIPR, Secretary, the Institute described the nomination as richly deserved and reflective of a legacy that continues to inspire excellence, integrity and impact across generations.
