The Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral CD Okehie, hosted the second edition of the Eastern Naval Command Golf Tournament at the Calabar Golf Course on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The event drew distinguished guests, including Cross River State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, and Vice Admiral Dele Joseph Ezeoba (rtd), who was the Special Guest of Honour.
The tournament featured a ceremonial tee-off by Vice Admiral DJ Ezeoba (rtd), Rear Admiral CD Okehie, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Patrick Chinedu Acholonu, and Engr. Bassey Nkposong, Captain of the Calabar Golf Club. Speaking to journalists, Rear Admiral Okehie highlighted golf’s benefits, including physical fitness and networking opportunities.
The event concluded with trophy presentations, awards, and group photographs. The tournament aimed to promote camaraderie and community building among participants.
