The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has decorated 541 officers who were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). The ceremony, which took place concurrently at the Command Headquarters, Area Commands, Divisions, and other formations across the state, was presided over by the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, PhD.
The promotion recognizes the officers’ outstanding performance, discipline, and dedication to duty, and underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to merit and institutional integrity. CP Ogunlowo expressed appreciation to the families of the promoted officers for their support and sacrifices, and charged the newly elevated ASPs to uphold higher standards of discipline, professionalism, and accountability.
The Commissioner urged the officers to intensify intelligence-led policing to maintain the safety and security of Ogun State. The promotion strengthens the Command’s leadership structure and enhances its operational capacity, symbolizing recognition of hard work and a renewed call to higher responsibility and service.
