Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State is set to host the 2026 Colloquium of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), a landmark gathering of leading figures in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The event will take place from March 29 to April 1, 2026, at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Yola.

The colloquium is a precursor to the Centenary Anniversary of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Nigeria, slated for 2027. PSN President Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim says the event represents a “strategic reset” for Nigeria’s healthcare system, reflecting on achievements and charting a forward-looking path.

The theme is “Launching of Centenary Endowment Funds,” with a keynote address by Cyril Odianose Usifoh. Discussions will focus on positioning Nigeria as the “Pharmacy of Africa,” aiming for 70% local drug production by 2030.

The event will feature industry leaders, including Pharm. Yaro Budah, Pharm. Akintayo, and Pharm. Ahmed Yakasai. Governor Fintiri has expressed Adamawa State’s readiness to host delegates from across Nigeria and beyond.
