The Delta State Police Command has deployed personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-el-Fitr celebration on March 19th and 20th, 2026. Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, assured Muslim faithful and residents of adequate security, including measures to safeguard lives and property, and ensure free traffic flow.
A robust operational deployment, including conventional police personnel and tactical units, has been put in place at Eid prayer grounds and strategic locations. CP Adesola warned criminal elements to desist from unlawful acts, stating the Command is prepared to deal with threats to public peace.
The Command urged the public to remain law-abiding and report suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station, wishing Muslim faithful a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
