The Delta State Police Command has demonstrated its commitment to the war against illicit drugs through proactive policing, arresting a suspected drug baron and a cultist.

In a raid on a drug hideout in Asaba, operatives recovered substances suspected to be Ice, Collorado, Canadian Loud, and Indian Hemp, among others. Four suspects were arrested, and investigations are ongoing.

In another operation, a suspected cultist, Ovie Ejeh, 18, was arrested in Warri with a locally fabricated gun and two live cartridges. He confessed to being a member of a cult group.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, has mandated DPOs and tactical commanders to adopt proactive policing strategies, warning that drug dealers will be arrested and prosecuted.

The Police Command has reiterated its commitment to fighting crime and maintaining public safety in the state.
