The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has met with Mrs. Mutiat Disu, wife of the Inspector General of Police, at the State House in Abuja. During the meeting, Senator Tinubu urged Mrs. Disu to prioritize the welfare of police officers’ wives, emphasizing the importance of supporting families of security personnel.
Mrs. Disu, who is also the National President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), expressed her readiness to leverage the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) programs to empower police officers’ wives across the country. She highlighted the potential benefits of RHI’s social intervention and healthcare initiatives for police families.
“The purpose of visiting her is to tap from her wealth of experiences and to know about programs she has for the masses, to see how the POWA can benefit from the programs,” Mrs. Disu said. “I have learnt so much from her within this short period, and I am sure by the time I start working with her, my people will benefit more from the RHI programs”.
