Ota Police Command has launched a multi-agency security operation to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration in the area. The operation involves a coalition of security agencies, including the Nigerian Navy, NDLEA, NIS, NSCDC, Amotekun Corps, So-Safe Corps, and local government health officials.
The operation began with a traffic decongestion exercise, targeting the busy Under-Bridge axis to Toll Gate corridor, which was carried out by officers led by Area Commander ACP Shola Oladele. The exercise eased gridlock, improving mobility and access routes for emergency responders.
A coordinated show of force followed, with personnel deployed across key locations, demonstrating a unified security presence. The operation aims to deter criminal activity and reassure residents of their safety.
The exercise highlights inter-agency cooperation in maintaining peace, particularly during festive periods. The Ota Area Command is determined to ensure a secure environment for Easter celebrations and beyond.
