The Delta State Police Command has conducted a show of force and clearance operation in Asaba and its environs to combat criminal activities. The operation, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, involved teams from various squads, including the Buffalo Squad and Rapid Response Squad.
The police targeted suspected criminal hideouts, including shanties and makeshift camps, in areas like Okpanam bush, to disrupt the activities of criminal elements. The operation aimed to reassure residents of their safety and the police’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, assured that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to prevent crime and maintain public order. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.
