The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, embarked on strategic familiarization visits to the 35 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Department of State Services, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the state. The visits were aimed at deepening inter-agency collaboration, strengthening operational synergy, and enhancing coordinated responses to evolving security challenges. CP Ojajuni said contemporary policing requires sustained engagement, trust-building, intelligence sharing, and a unified posture among all security institutions.
At the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, CP Ojajuni met with Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Godwin U. Nwamba to review joint operational frameworks and improve coordination on rapid response, intelligence-driven deployments, and synchronized patrols across flashpoints. With DSS State Director R.A. Adelakun, discussions centered on strengthening intelligence-led security through enhanced surveillance and timely sharing of actionable information to prevent breaches. At the NIS Command, Comptroller Olufunke Yetunde Odusote and the CP focused on border security, curbing illegal migration, human trafficking, smuggling, and cross-border crime through joint surveillance and intelligence sharing.
During his stop at the NSCDC Command, CP Ojajuni and Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo discussed protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, joint enforcement against vandalism and sabotage, and improved crisis response coordination. The CP thanked all agencies for their cooperation and described inter-agency synergy as critical to effective policing. He reaffirmed the Ogun Police Command’s commitment to enhancing coordination, deepening intelligence sharing, and sustaining collective efforts to ensure peace, safety of lives and property, and overall security stability across the state.
