Ogun State Police Command recorded huge sucesses today as the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of Operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala commissioned one Police Station and one police postin the State.
The newly constructed Ota Police Divisional Headquarter and the Police Post at Onipetesi Ifo, Ogun State were formally commissioned in a ceremony highlighting deepening collaboration between security institutions and local communities in Ogun State.
At the Ota Divisional Headquarter, Area Commander, Ota Area Command of the Ogun State Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shola Oladele, credited Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni’s leadership for redefining policing standards in the state through professionalism and a more responsive, community-oriented approach that has boosted public confidence.
Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property through effective community policing.
Dignitaries at the commissioning included His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, the Olota of Ota and the paramount ruler of Awori Kingdom, representatives of sister security agencies, Market Leaders and the Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
The Olota of Ota praised the improved security climate and ongoing development in the area. He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, for their contributions to grassroots development and security.
Speaking at the event, the senior special assistant to the president on sustainable development goals, Her Excellency, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire who was represented by the Secretary of Programme in the office of the SSA to the president on sustsainable development goals, Alhaji Bala Mohammed Salawa conveyed her goodwill message and rejoiced with residents of Ota on what he described as landmark achievements in grassroots security and development.
At the Onipetesi Police facility donated to the Ogun State Police Command by the Community, CP Bode Ojajuni advised members of the community to see the edifice as theirs and to always see the force as partners in progress for effective policing.
Together, the two ceremonies signaled a growing partnership between government, security agencies, and communities in advancing public safety and development across Ogun State.
