The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, has commissioned a Special Intervention Quick Impact Project at Mayo-Belwa Central Primary School in Adamawa State. The facility, inaugurated on 7 May 2026, includes six renovated classroom blocks, new toilets, a solar-powered lighting system, and the provision of tables, chairs, and learning materials.
The project was executed under the Nigerian Navy’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme in honour of the Navy Secretary, Rear Admiral Abdulhamid Baba-Inna, as part of efforts to give back to his hometown in Mayo-Belwa LGA. Representing the CNS, Director of Veteran Affairs Rear Admiral Raheem Taofeeq said the initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and reflects the Navy’s commitment to community development.
Traditional and government officials at the ceremony lauded the intervention as a boost to primary education in the area. His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, represented by Ardo Bamanga Dalil, described it as a significant contribution to local development, while Rear Admiral Baba-Inna thanked the CNS for the opportunity to support his community.
