The Administrative and Finance Committee of the West African Examinations Council has thrown its weight behind the leadership of WAEC Nigeria following its 240th meeting in Ibadan. The Committee expressed strong confidence in the Head of National Office, Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut, and his management team, praising their handling of operations and staff relations.

In its review, the Committee highlighted the team’s professionalism and discipline, noting that the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates has progressed without interruption despite recent union engagements. It said the management’s approach to administrative duties reflects a clear focus on WAEC’s values and operational stability.

The Committee formally passed a vote of confidence on Dr. Dangut and his team, urging all parties to avoid actions that could harm the Council’s reputation. It assured students, parents, and education ministries that WAEC’s nationwide operations remain steady and on track, while reaffirming its commitment to transparency, staff welfare, and a peaceful work environment.
