The Ogun State Police Command has rolled out enhanced security measures across the state ahead of Eid-el-Kabir 2026, promising residents a safe and orderly festive period. Commissioner of Police CP Bode Ojajuni said personnel and equipment have been deployed to Eid prayer grounds, highways, markets, motor parks, recreational centres, and other public spaces to ensure visible policing, crowd management, early threat detection, and rapid response.
All Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and tactical units have been placed on high alert with instructions to maintain aggressive patrols, conduct stop-and-search operations where needed, and provide round-the-clock supervision. The Command is also working closely with community leaders, transport unions, and other stakeholders to improve intelligence sharing and prevent any disruption of public order during the celebrations.
Residents have been urged to celebrate responsibly, stay alert, and avoid actions that could breach the peace, including thuggery, cultism, reckless driving, and disorderly conduct. Parents and guardians are advised to monitor their children’s movements closely.
