The Ota Area Command of the Ogun State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to public safety with a coordinated show of force to deter crime and maintain order during and after Eid-ul-Adha.
The operation brought together Nigerian Navy, Amotekun, Vigilante Corps, So-Safe Corps, the Nigeria Immigration Service, NSCDC, and local government health officials under a unified command structure.
Early on, Area Commander Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Shola Oladele led officers in a traffic decongestion exercise from the Under-Bridge axis to the Toll Gate corridor.
Running from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the effort relocated roadside traders to designated shops, easing gridlock and improving access for emergency and security teams.
Following the traffic operation, personnel from all participating agencies deployed across strategic locations in Ota in a unified display of force.
Divisional Police Officers and their teams worked alongside allied units to demonstrate operational synergy and a strong tactical presence.
The heightened visibility and inter-agency collaboration were aimed at reassuring residents and ensuring a peaceful celebration and secure post-festive period in Ogun State.
