The Ogun State Police Command says operatives of Owode-Egba Division have arrested 32-year-old Friday Ayuba, a security guard, for allegedly pilfering motor spare parts from his employer’s company at Ita-Asu Village, Owode-Egba. The case came to light on 30 May 2026 around 6:00pm when the company manager reported that Quick Response Squad officers had earlier intercepted Ayuba at Sagamu Interchange on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, allegedly moving company property without permission.
Investigation showed the suspect, who worked for the firm, was caught with four air controls, two air boosters, two engine seats, and two fuel pumps believed to have been taken from the company premises. Ayuba reportedly confessed during questioning. Detectives later processed the scene and kept the recovered parts as exhibits.
Ayuba remains in police custody and will be arraigned after investigations are concluded.
