Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Tijani Fatai held a strategic meeting Thursday with Area Commanders, DPOs, PMF and Tactical Commanders to assess security across the State and strengthen operational readiness. He charged officers to stay proactive and vigilant, emphasizing sustained intelligence gathering, close supervision of personnel, and quick response to threats in their Areas of Responsibility. CP Fatai also directed them to maintain professional standards and ensure the same discipline among rank-and-file officers.
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund backed the effort with a donation of 200 bulletproof helmets and 200 bulletproof vests to the Command. LSSTF Executive Secretary Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan presented the gear and restated the Fund’s commitment to equipping security agencies to protect lives and property. CP Fatai thanked LSSTF for the consistent support, saying the equipment will improve operational efficiency and boost morale for officers on frontline and high-risk assignments.
CP Fatai also appreciated Lagosians for their cooperation and timely information, which he said have driven many of the Command’s successes. He called for stronger collaboration as police intensify operations to clear criminal elements and keep the State safe for residents and visitors. He urged the public to remain alert and report suspicious activity through the Command’s emergency lines: 07061019374, 08065154338, 08063299264, 08039344870, and 09168630929.
