The Ogun State Police Command has launched a comprehensive investigation into the deaths of renowned broadcaster and retired OGTV personality, Ms. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard. The incident was reported at Owode Egba Division on Sunday, June 21, 2026, by a resident of Iyana Agodo Village who raised alarm over suspicious activity at the residence. Detectives deployed to the scene found signs of forced entry and disturbance. The security guard’s body was discovered at the security post while Ms. Oyesiku was later found dead inside her apartment. Her vehicle was also missing from the premises.

Commissioner of Police CP Bode Ojajuni has ordered a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Intensive, intelligence-led operations and surveillance have been expanded across relevant locations to track down and apprehend the perpetrators. Police say efforts are focused on unraveling the facts and ensuring all those involved are brought to justice.

The Command commiserated with the family of the deceased, Ogun State Television, the media community, and all affected by the tragic loss. CP Ojajuni assured the public that no effort will be spared to ensure justice is served.
