Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has continued his strategic familiarization tour to the Ikenne and Isara Area Commands to deepen community policing and strengthen partnerships for crime prevention. Accompanied by the Command Management Team and PCRC State Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Lawal, the CP opened the tour at Ikenne Area Command where he was received by Area Commander ACP Sadiq Mana, Ikenne LGA Chairman Hon. Asimu Jamiu, Ikenne Development Association President Otunba Olufemi Allen, and other stakeholders. He stressed the role of community participation in policing and urged residents to provide timely intelligence. He also visited Remo Stars FC, where Club President Hon. Kunle Soname, OON, hosted him. CP Ojajuni commended the club’s youth empowerment and sports development efforts, noting that engaging young people is key to preventing crime.
In Isara, the CP paid a royal courtesy call on the Odemo of Isara, HRH Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo, Otete III, who reaffirmed traditional support for the Police and intelligence-led policing. Accompanied by the Odemo and the Onipara of Ipara, Oba Taiwo Taiwo, he inspected the permanent site of the proposed Isara Area Command Headquarters and urged sustained stakeholder support for its completion. The delegation also received a patrol vehicle donated by the Isara Growth and Prosperity Foundation, which CP Ojajuni said will improve mobility and response across the command. At the Isara Area Command, hosted by Area Commander ACP Nurudeen Ali Amodu and Remo North LGA Chairman Hon. Sodade Ayodele Olumuyiwa, the CP charged officers to remain disciplined and professional, and commissioned the command’s temporary office to expand police presence in Remo North and adjoining communities.
The tour concluded with a courtesy visit to the Ologere of Ogere, HRH Oba James Obafemi Saliu, Kankanbiina II, who lauded the Command’s proactive leadership under CP Ojajuni and pledged Ogere’s continued support. The Commissioner reiterated the Command’s resolve to sustain intelligence-led, community-driven policing and stakeholder collaboration to address security challenges. He thanked traditional rulers, local government authorities, corporate bodies, community groups, and residents for their role in maintaining peace and security across Ogun State.
