Ogun State on Monday showcased its rich cultural heritage and growing creative economy at the Ogun State Cultural Art Exhibition held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through Mr. Ima and the Visual Arts team, attracted Commissioner Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, the Permanent Secretary, senior officials, actors and other stakeholders. The renovated Hall of Fame at the centre underscores the state’s push to promote artistic tourism, heritage preservation and creative opportunities.
A major highlight was the presence of Ambassador Deji Bakare, Convener of Most Beautiful Girl in Ogun State (MBGO) 2026, who lauded the government’s support for arts and tourism and noted that the queens represent culture, heritage and tourism potential. Stakeholders stressed that culture is not just about preserving the past but creating future opportunities for youths, artists and cultural entrepreneurs.
