The NDLEA has arraigned Afolabi Kazeem Michael, aka KC Luxury, and two accomplices, Boniface Freeman Ochoche Sule and Ikechukwu Ekugo Patriarch, before the Federal High Court, Lagos, over a 184.5kg cocaine shipment to London.
The trio, charged on 22 counts bordering on drug trafficking and money laundering, pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege they conspired between July 28 and August 1, 2026, to export the drug in five consignments bearing the shipper name Yemi Ejide, using BOT Express Logistics on Lagos Island after a N13.2m payment. Two other suspects linked to the shipment, Atandare Oladipupo Oluwarotimi and Latifat Yusuf, have been arrested in London.
Justice Musa Kakaki remanded the defendants in NDLEA custody and adjourned bail ruling to October 4. KC Luxury, who posed online as a luxury goods dealer, was arrested August 13 while trying to board a business-class flight to Paris, after NDLEA intercepted the haul valued at about N39 billion.
