Ogun Police Command has commenced a two-day stakeholders’ workshop on election security at Event Towers, Abeokuta, as early preparation for the 2027 General Elections.
Organised with Development Communication Research Centre Ltd, the workshop was declared open by Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by SA Security AIG Sola Subair (Rtd). CP Bode Ojajuni said election security is not an election-day task, stressing professionalism, neutrality and intelligence sharing.
The event drew INEC, Army, DSS, NSCDC, political parties, NUJ, NBA and civil society groups, with keynote by Prof. Fassy Yusuf on law and professional conduct.
