The Ogun State Police Command has arrested Adewale Ogoemi Arojah for allegedly cloning the Facebook profile of Prophet Dr. Muyiwa Akogun to defraud members of the public.
Ilaro Division operatives tracked the suspect to Ajegunle community along Ilaro/Ibogun road following a petition by the real cleric on October 3, 2026. Police said Arojah confessed to using the fake profile to deliver false prophecies and extort money for prayers from victims at home and abroad, totaling over N18 million.
He has been moved to the SCID, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation. CP Bode Ojajuni warned residents against sending money to unverified social media accounts and urged prompt reporting of impersonation and cyber fraud.
