The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Waidi Shaibu, has charged the Nigerian Army Band Corps to prioritise mentorship, welfare and discipline to retain skilled personnel.
At the 10th Training Week/Retreat at Abalti Barracks, Ojuelegba on Tuesday, Shaibu said the Corps must preserve institutional knowledge and develop practical solutions on retention, training and leadership for joint operations.
He commended Acting Director Lt Col Micheal Toriola for organising the retreat, reaffirming Army support, while Toriola thanked the COAS for revitalising the Corps with equipment upgrades.
