The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) have explored stronger security collaboration to combat smuggling, intercept prohibited goods and strengthen law enforcement across Lagos and the South West.

The move followed a courtesy visit by the Comptroller, Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A, Comptroller Oladapo Olukayode Afeni, to the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, at Alausa, Ikeja. The meeting focused on institutional cooperation through equipment, logistics and operational support.

Ogunsan welcomed the delegation and noted that Customs enforcement is vital to protecting lives and critical infrastructure, while Afeni said synergy would help make Lagos and the South West free of crime. Both pledged to deepen cooperation to tackle emerging threats.
