He said this is not the time for the people to sleep with both eyes closed as armed herdsmen terrorists have not stopped their unprovoked attacks on people of the state. He added that there is simply a calculated attempt aimed at killing the defenseless people of the communities.
Rev. Akpen Leva, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Benue State Chapter, reminded the people of the state on Saturday that the killer herdsmen have not stopped their unprovoked attacks on the people of the state.
It was recalled that suspected terrorists killed 15 people in the state’s Logo Local Government Area on Thursday last week.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Akpen Leva, through his Director of Media, Samuel Tyav, warned residents of the state not to sleep with their eyes closed because daredevil terrorists are not willing to give them a breathing space.
He urged the people of the state to look for legitimate means of protecting and defending themselves under such circumstances.
