To enable significant youth participation in decision-making about road safety in Nigeria, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the GreenLight Initiative have established an off-taking partnership.
Mr. Simon Patrick Obi, the Executive Director of GreenLight Initiative, stated recently in Abuja during a courtesy visit to the Zonal Commander Operations Road Safety 7 Head Quarters that the intervention was in line with the FRSC and the United Nations action plan on meaningful youth involvement in road safety.
He claims that GreenLight is affiliated with the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety, and that throughout the years, the two groups have worked closely together to implement a range of interventions, such as public awareness campaigns, training sessions, research, etc.

He went on to say that the objectives of this engagement are to promote discourse and increase public knowledge about the relevance of meaningful youth involvement in decisions relating to road safety in Abuja, Nigeria, as well as to increase public awareness of initiatives for “Ember Month.”
