In a grand celebration of excellence and achievement, family, friends, and loved ones on Wednesday, gathered to celebrate the milestone 40th birthday of Dr Stephen Akintayo, immediate past Chairman of GText Holdings, at a marathon praise and worship event.
GText Holdings, a conglomerate with 11 subsidiaries, hosted the evening to recognise Akintayo’s contributions to real estate in Nigeria and beyond.
Celebrations began with the distribution of food packs to the less privileged, followed by a four-hour Ppaise and Worship session at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
This session also feature inspirational ministrations and a time for reflection, setting the tone of the day.
Speaking, Dr Cosmos Maduka, Chairman and Founder of Coscharis Motors, described Akintayo as a builder of people through mentoring and training and a tough but loving leader.
Maduka praised Akintayo’s ability to inspire courage and clarity in others.
He said: “Akintayo’s words often ignite courage and clarity in those who hear him, turning employees into leaders and followers into visionaries.
Maduka, therefore charged those around him to rise above excuses and deliver results.
Former Inspector-General of Police and the newly appointed GText Holdings Chairman, Mr Mike Okiro, said Akintayo is a man in a hurry, with no mountain too high or ocean too deep.
Dr Helen Boyo-Ekwueme, wife of Nigeria’s First Vice-President, described Akintayo as a towering figure with a remarkable career spanned over the years.
“We are by this occasion not just celebrating a professional whose chequered career sojourn excelled like excellence in the real estate.
“We are also crowning excellence at its best. He has been a major source of inspiration and admiration to us all,” she said.
The Deputy Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr Farouq Usman, said Dr Stephen Akintayo had succeeded in creating shared values and impacted lives across the continent and beyond.
This, Usman noted, was evident in the deluge of tributes and congratulatory messages he received from leaders around the world.
The celebrant was joined at the event by his wife, and children who spoke glowingly about the businessman’s love and support for his family.
The event featured praise ministers, religious leaders, captains of industry, and national icons.
They include; Dr Helen Boyo-Ekwueme, wife of the first Vice-President of Nigeria; Dr Cosmas Maduka CON, Founder, President/CEO of Coscharis Group; Mrs Godrey Ogbechie, Group ED, Rain Oil among others.
All united in celebrating a man hailed as a legend, a trailblazer, and a great entrepreneur.
Through glowing tributes, attendees reflected on his unparalleled impact and enduring legacy.
