Assistant Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu has taken over as the 55th AIG in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, effective February 9, 2026. He succeeds AIG Margaret Ochalla, who is currently on a training program in the US.
AIG Disu, a Lagos native, brings over 30 years of experience in policing to the role. He holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor’s in English Education and Master’s in Public Administration and Criminology. His leadership roles include Commander of the Rapid Response Squad in Lagos and Commissioner of Police in Rivers State and the FCT.
Upon assuming duty, AIG Disu pledged zero tolerance to corruption and vowed to strengthen FCID Annex’s operational capacity. He called for stakeholder support in the fight against crime and promotion of justice.
