ARMY CHIEF WELCOMES NDA 41 REGULAR COURSE ALUMNI, CHARTS PATH FOR COLLECTIVE SECURITY VISION

In a warm and symbolic reunion, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, played host to members of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) 41 Regular Combatant Course Alumni Association at the Army Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025. The gathering brought together distinguished officers bound by years of shared service, camaraderie and a continuing commitment to Nigeria’s peace and stability.

In a statement released by The Acting Director Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele, the visit marked a homecoming of sorts for the coursemates, many of whom have contributed immensely to national defense and security across various capacities within and beyond the armed forces. Led by Major Lancelot Anyanya (Rtd), the alumni delegation reaffirmed their confidence in the Army Chief’s vision for a more secure Nigeria and expressed readiness to support ongoing military modernization and operational efficiency. They also extended their goodwill to Mrs. Safiyyah Hassan Shaibu, National President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), for her steadfast role in fostering family welfare and support structures within the military community.
