Comrade Oluwadamilare Sonayon Adebowale Bashir has paid a courtesy visit to Honourable Abisola Omisore, Executive Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, to present his multimillion-naira solar empowerment training programme. The initiative aims to create sustainable job opportunities for 100 youths in Ikeja through specialised training in renewable energy.
Bashir outlined the programme’s objectives, targeting young people between 18 and 40, with the first batch of 20 trainees commencing in March. The training addresses youth unemployment and unstable power supply, equipping beneficiaries with installation, maintenance, and system management skills.
The programme aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emphasis on enterprise, innovation, and inclusive economic growth. Bashir commended Seyi Tinubu and Tayo Ayinde, Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, for their support in community development.
The solar training scheme is a structured empowerment model, building capacity, restoring dignity of labour, and positioning Ikeja youths for success in the evolving energy economy.
