Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the governor of Rivers State, and his team left for Madrid, the capital of Spain, on Friday morning to review the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) report on the party’s issue.

Wike was photographed at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, alongside the governors of Oyo, Abia, and Seyi Makinde (Benue)..

According to reports, the PDP Bo has urged Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, to step down right away following the general election of 2023.

In a chat with our correspondent, a PDP leader named Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke stated that if the PDP is honest and truly wants peace to reign, it must address Governor Wike’s issues.

Nwuke, a former state commissioner for information and communications, gave a speech on Saturday in the state capital of Port Harcourt.
“What we know is that the PDP will address the complaints that have been made out if the PDP is honest; if the PDP wants peace in its midst; if the PDP wants to run as a unit,” he said.
According to the former federal senator, the Rivers State governor wasn’t just battling for himself, but also for the entire South of the nation.

I believe that you won’t need to cross the bridge till you get there, Nwuke stated. According to what we know, they have visited every person who is upset at the moment and heard their complaints. Additionally, they have demonstrated that they are aware of the seriousness of the complaints they have received. Every matter has two sides, and they have come and heard the other side, the BOT Chairman may have mentioned recently.

They claimed to be returning to Abuja to carry on their duties. All of them making that choice now will be vital and necessary. Let’s avoid discussing anything speculative.

The danger in viewing how things are developing as Wike’s worry should inevitably be downplayed is the argument I want to make here. Wike is an advocate for the South’s interests.

“I believe we should get rid of the personification, which gives the idea that Wike will either win or lose. The PDP stands to gain and lose at this time if problems are not properly resolved.

It would be wonderful to think that the PDP will act in its own best interest by upholding justice, fairness, and equity. This item has evolved past Wike; it is not Wike. The problem is not wike. What is being put on the table in support of a segment of our country is the problem. All those who support the viewpoint would have left by now, in my opinion, if Wike’s position were to prevail.

“The question is what will happen to South African interests once what logically shouldn’t have happened has occurred. Should the South ignore what happened and pretend it never happened?

“Will those who curtailed the South’s rights assert that they are unaware that it is improper to have the party’s chairmanship and presidential candidate come from the same region? Will they aver that they are unsure? I believe it’s best to wait and see. You cannot forecast what will be in that report, so when it is made public, the right response will occur.
