The new Commissioner of Police of Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has pledged to maintain zero tolerance for abuse of office, indiscipline, incivility towards members of the public, violations of human rights, and corruption. He made this vow during his maiden press briefing at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on March 30, 2026.
CP Ojajuni emphasized that discipline remains the bedrock of the Nigeria Police Force and assured that his administration will be guided by the principles of professionalism, respect for human dignity, and strict adherence to the rule of law. He urged officers and men to treat members of the public with dignity, courtesy, and respect, while also encouraging the public to engage with the police with civility and mutual respect.
The Commissioner highlighted the importance of collaboration with traditional rulers, community leaders, the media, and other security agencies to ensure the peace and security of Ogun State. He assured that his administration will be inclusive and that stakeholders will be given a sense of belonging.
CP Ojajuni also announced the establishment of a robust administrative machinery to monitor officers and men, with the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) serving as a key channel for reporting misconduct. The CRU is accessible via telephone, social media platforms, and WhatsApp.
