The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has formally welcomed Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Olatunji Disu as the new head of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos. AIG Disu’s appointment is seen as a strategic move by Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to strengthen the country’s criminal investigation architecture with seasoned leadership.
With over three decades of experience in operational commands, including the Rapid Response Squad and Intelligence Response Team, AIG Disu is expected to enhance forensic capacity, case management, and inter-agency synergy at FCID Annex.
In a statement e-signed by President of the association, Olalekan Olabulo, CRAN commends the Inspector General of Police for this deployment, citing the need for seasoned investigative command amidst evolving security threats.
AIG Disu has pledged a zero-tolerance approach to corruption and promised to strengthen the operational and investigative capacity of FCID Annex. CRAN believes his commitment to integrity and transparency will reinforce public trust in the FCID.
