The Area Commander of Area E Police Command in Lagos, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nwachukwu Eburuaja, has been honoured with an award of recognition and good service by Crime World Magazine. The prestigious award was presented by the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief and Publisher, Prince Albert Uba, in a brief ceremony held at the commander’s office.
The award celebrates ACP Eburuaja’s exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to law enforcement, which has earned him a reputation as a crime fighter par excellence within the Lagos Police Command.
An indigene of Imo State, ACP Eburuaja was born in Obalende, Lagos, approximately 50 years ago. He enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force in 1991, embarking on a distinguished career marked by diligence and integrity.
His educational journey began at Ngwa High School in Abia State and continued at Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri. He proceeded to obtain a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and later earned a master’s degree from the University of Lagos.
Over the years, ACP Eburuaja has served in various capacities within the police force. He was Divisional Crime Officer at Onikan, Epe, and Apapa Divisions; Divisional Police Officer at Shasha, Mosafejo, and Area F Command; and Acting DPO at Ketu, Iju, and Elemoro Divisions. He has also served as Area Crime Officer in Lima Command, Ileshe, and Kilo Command, Badagry.
His experience extends beyond Lagos, having worked in Borno State as Staff Officer DFA, and as Administrative Officer at the Police Airwing Command. He led the Anti-Fraud Unit at the FCID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos, and served as Assistant Director of Legal Studies at the Police Staff College in Jos, Plateau State. In 2024, he was specially recognized as the Best Area Commander.
Despite a demanding career, ACP Eburuaja finds balance through sports and intellectual pursuits. He enjoys playing football and basketball, and is an avid fan of epic war movies. Known among his peers for his intellect, he frequently engages in thoughtful discussions and brainstorming sessions.
ACP Eburuaja, who received the award with gratitude and enthusiasm, dedicated it to the officers and men under his command. He pledged to further intensify efforts in securing the Area E command, ensuring safety for both residents and businesses. He also expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police for his continuous support.
CSP Mustapha Rasheed, DPO of Okokomaiko Division, delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the Area Commander, commending Crime World Magazine for the recognition.
The award stands as a testament to ACP Eburuaja’s steadfast commitment to policing and community safety, reinforcing the importance of dedicated leadership in Nigeria’s law enforcement landscape.
