The Delta State Police Command has foiled a suspected armed robbery operation in Agbor, arresting one suspect and recovering arms and other incriminating exhibits. The incident occurred on April 4, 2026, when a distress call was received about a group of armed robbers attempting to break into a premises in Full Current Compound, Alihame, Agbor.

The suspect, Emeka Ernest, 41, was subdued by residents and taken into custody. Recovered items include live and expended cartridges, a battle axe, and a locally fabricated single-barrel short gun. The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend other members of the gang.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, commended the prompt response of operatives and the vigilance of residents, assuring the public of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
